We are equal opportunity supporters of swimmers. So we’re showing some love, on a regular basis, to some swimmers we feel need to be pimped. You know how it is!

Erik Vendt was our inaugural Special Guest for a long while. And now he is set to join the Swim Stars Network with his own site, located at ErikVendt.com (now closed). Then we pimped out Cullen Jones. No Swim Stars site for him because Suz was hired to design his official site.

So, then we turned our attention elsewhere; and to a team, and not an individual: Club Wolverine and the Michigan Wolverines. We were already pimping those boys out far more than they deserve, but we couldn’t help ourselves. They were like our crack & they knew it. We just couldn’t quit them. Ok, enough bad jokes.

Give it up for the University of Michigan & Club Wolverine swimming programs. Yea, we’re predictable. Get over it!

So now, we’re giving the site an overhaul and the new Swim Aids special guest is — DRUMROLL –

Missy Franklin

Right before SwimStars.org closed, we had tapped Missy Franklin to be the next addition to the site. She was amazing us to no end, and Suz felt a bond since they share the same last name.

That was a year ago, and Missy has showed no signs of slowing down. In short, this girl WILL be representing the United States in London next year. Mark. It. Down.

So far this year, she’s done nothing but win 2 medals at the FINA Short Course World Championships, break a National Independent High School Record, won a state swimming championship with her HS team, and lead the USA Swimming Grand Prix points competition through 5 meets.

*whew*

What a year, right? And it’s not even halfway done!

So, that’s a glimpse at what makes Missy Franklin special enough to be the Swim Aids special guest of the moment!
