Right before finals started on July 4, the crowd was instructed to get loud and that they did! Free shirts were given out so that the colors of our flag were on full display around the Qwest Center. It was awesome! There was also the nightly edition of “the wave”, but we didn’t catch that on video. Kiwi took a video to try and capture some of that excitement. Watch it below:
And the random “woooo” action you hear in background of the video was not us. It was our fave coach, Paul Yetter, who was sitting with us during that session. Yea, I just called him out. So what?!
I’m not sure how long this will be up since I have no clue if this falls under the ‘restricted content’ umbrella from Trials. The way to know if this is ‘bad’ will be if this post disappears in the near future. Watch the vid while you can!
Here is the parade of Team USA qualifiers for Beijing as they paraded past the media section. There were a few absentees, but I’d say it was the majority of the squad!
I didn’t know where to put this, but I just knew I had to post it somewhere! It’s just too good to pass up.
Below is a video of Katie showin’ off a couple of the dance moves she’s learned in her hip hop classes. She’s promised me that we’re going to go out and tear it up, after the Olympics, so it was nice for me be able to get a preview of what I can expect. For the rest of you, enjoy the LOLZ!
Please note the look on her face when asked to share some dance moves. That’s pretty much the same face I got when I asked her to put on my ‘Black Girl” t-shirt. And just like then, she caved to the request.
Juliet from AMP Agency sent the following video to me. We’re all pretty familiar with the trend of swimmers getting inked with the Olympic Rings upon their return from the Summer Games. Here’s a little fluff piece about that. You know you love fluff. And if you don’t, you had better get used to it. For the next 6 weeks, Olympic fluff will be constantly shoved down your throat! Lap it up, my friends. Lap it up.
This was sent to me by the show’s publicity team, so I feel it only right to share. US Swimming legend Janet Evans is participating. Why should you care? Well, it’s not every day we see one of our beloved gold medalists appearing weekly on network TV, now is it?
