2007 Signing Sweepstakes (Women’s Edition)
So this could be a fun game! The “big guns” who will have exhausted their NCAA eligibility after tonight are Georgia’s Kara Lynn Joyce, Auburn’s Hayley Peirsol, and Arizona’s Whitney Myers.
Who will they sign with? Who will represent them?
My predictions are below the cut with some additional commentary.

Hayley Peirsol Now, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that Speedo has been courting Hayley for quite some time now. I would truly truly be shocked if she did not sign with them. I also forsee a swift move to Ann Arbor, MI for Miss Peirsol. Ocatgon seems to have a stranglehold on a significant portion of CW, but I feel she will follow in her brother’s footsteps and go the PMG route. |

Kara Lynn Joyce An article has already been published that said KLJ is going to stay put Georgia. No Club Wolverine reunion for this dawg. Now, I thought Amanda Weir was going to sign with Speedo after the Sports Illustrated article and photoshoot from Nationals, but TYR snagged her. While I still think KLJ is going to go Speedo, it is possible that she go the TYR route as well. One thing is certain, though. Nike won’t step up to the plate with her. PMG will probably also get to rep Miss Joyce as well. |

Whitney Myers I would really like to see Nike step up and sign more than one person every 3 years and go after Whitney. She’s already used to their suits as Arizona is a Nike school. The transition would be seamless. And let’s be honest, Team Nike needs some more Swim Chicks, anyway! But since I doubt this will happen, it’ll once again be between Speedo and TYR. I’m going to give the advantage to TYR this time. Why? I flipped a coin. Too hard to predict. PMG will pick most likely pick Whitney up as well. I don’t see her leaving Arizona, either; great training environment for her! |

Hayley Peirsol will without a doubt sign with Speedo. She has been getting suits in custom colors just like the signed athletes in the \”Hayley cut\”. If she doesn\’t sign with Speedo..I\’ll be extremely shocked. PMG or Octagon..hmm…I\’m gonna go with Octagon to mix it up. A good portion of CW is with Octagon…maybe she will follow suit? haha

Kara Lynn Joyce-I think she will sign with TYR and sign with PMG. TYR has been signing more and more people and making themselves known.

Whitney Myers-I am sooo torn as to who she is gonna sign with..the Nike family should sign her but Nike hasn\’t really been signing too many people since I\’ve been following the sport. So Speedo and TYR..which I too may have to flip a coin for as well…Speedo. PMG because PMG is a freakin powerhouse.
