We Have Landed in Omaha!
So it may have taken longer than we anticipated, but the Swim Aids have descended upon Omaha!
Everyone is buzzing about the weather, but I live in the midwest. Our tornado sirens go off every Wednesday, year round, as a test.
Here’s to a week without any further interruptions from Mother Nature!
P.S. Our internet situation is kinda whack right now, so we’ll work on that during the day. (This post is coming from the Sidekick of yours truly)

Sorry if I’m slow, but what’s wrong with the weather? I live near(ish) Omaha and I see no problem with Midwest weather. Most of the time it’s really beautiful in the summer. Isn’t it?
Are you sure? Did you miss the whole tornado stuff that happened? The midwest has been hit so hard this year! Suz’s flights got delayed thanks to a storm and mine was delayed due to high winds. Yeah, no fun!
OOoooohhhhhhh. No, I didn’t miss it. Half of a town near me was leveled due to a tornado and the entire North part of my town was a lake (literally) due to floods. It’s just that I’m from the area, so it’s kind of normal for me and it’s just stuff you learn to deal with rather than worry about. I just wanted to make sure I knew what was going on. Thanks! (=
You don’t worry about the weather that levels half a town near you?!
Ask any of the Swim Aids and they’ll tell you I’ve got balls, but if a (pardon my language) fucking town is leveled near me, I’d be a tad worried about the God Damn weather.
Yea, the recent string of bad weather has stretched to the entire midwest which goes as far East as Ohio. It’s been a big topic of discussion lately beacuse all of the destruction and devastation ISN’T normal lol. People are dying. Lives are being changed forever. Our mini backstory was that the unpredictable weather affected our flights in. That’s all.
Ok, I didn’t mean to sound that insensitive, I’m sorry. But my house is no where near the river (no water damage for us) and the chances of a tornado actually traveling 20 miles to my town is pretty slim… :-/ my point was, we have tornadoes every spring; THAT is something I’m used to.
