Thank you, Stephanie Rice
I said in the comments of a previous Aussie Olympic Trials post that I hoped that since Stephanie Rice had taken down The Hoff’s 400 IM World Record, I also hoped she’d take down that 200 IM mark. (It shouldn’t even still be valid anyway).
Well she did, and to that The Swim Aids say:
THANK YOU, STEPHANIE RICE!
Enjoy those World Records while you have them. It is a great accomplishment! Just don’t get too attached to them. We know a certain US swimmer who will probably re-write the record books this summer.

Shall we send her a thank you card?
Maybe! How much is postage to Australia? lol
I’ am happy for Stephanie Rice. And I’m glad the tainted 200IM record has been taken off the books. I have to admit I was a little upset that katie did not take the WR. In additon she takes Katie’s 400 IM WR. Yea I know record are meant to be broken.
Good on you Stephanie.
Can’t wait to see Katie swim both races fully tapered.
Agreed!
This summer will continue the trend of me being glued to the TV when the Olympics are on! That’s how I got into the sport in the first place!
It’s even better now when I actually know what everything actually means, unlike 2004.
ooooooh. go stephanieee!!
but yes I can’t wait for the Hoff to break those records soon! I’ll have to rock my Team Hoff shirt in support
