Larger Than Life…No, Really!
Speedo sent this over today. Thought I’d post it because, well, it’s the least I can do considering I’ve placed MrP on ice.
Following his record-setting performance at the 12th FINA World Championships in March, Michael Phelps returned to the U.S. seeming larger than life. Now, at seven stories tall, that is truly the case.
In an extension of the marketing platform for Speedo’s latest product debut, the FASTSKIN FS-PRO, the television commercial featuring Phelps and the new suit can now be seen live on the NASDAQ tower in Times Square. The video ad, which debuted on the NASDAQ screens this week, will air live in the busiest intersection of the United States through the end of June.
Phelps wore the FS-PRO, the fastest lightweight speed suit on the market, as he set five World Records and won seven gold medals in Melbourne.
The use of the NASDAQ tower as part of a Speedo advertising campaign is a first for the brand.
A 7-story tall Mikey P.? Now that’s a scary thought!

hahahahaha ooh Suz, I’m proud of you for posting something Phelps related. Yay for you Suz! Way to be the bigger person!
Oh, and btw, 7-story tall Phelps? Wow, no thank you.
Do you get the feeling that someone’s watching you…oh yeah, it’s the seven foot mikey p. I saw a Speedo buildboard of Mike in Chicago when I was on Senior Trip. And I think we all are proud (and shocked) that I didn’t take a picture (partially because my batteries were dead)!
7-story tall phelps=scary.
“it’s the seven foot mikey p” Uhhhhh carrie?
